Affection's demise
Shastri Parivaar had been the same since generations. It was the ideal family for an onlooker, but what went on in the household was only known to people who belonged to it.
Uma Shastri, the mother , had given birth to two kids. She used to do household work all day for her children. But, got no appreciation. She was suffocated within the house.
The son, Prabhat Shastri, had been a gem when he was born. He was the most adorable being on the planet back then. But, he hadn't grown up that well and had turned into a bully and a spendthrift who would spend money on useless luxuries all day since no one had ever controlled his actions. He was, after all, the 'Prince' of the family and was pampered throughout.
The family also consisted of Seema Shastri, the sweet daughter who was a dreamer. Seema had big dreams and deep thoughts. But, her voice had been silenced by her own family. Her soul was locked away and she couldn't express as she was expected to marry and settle like ladies were expected to.
The father, Manohar Shastri, was a businessman. He was too busy to pay attention to his family and was too bound to society. His reputation and cultural status were a must to him. How could he understand the grievances of his clan? He did not have the energy or time to spare for such nuisances.
But as time passed, the grievances multiplied and with no one to talk to , the clan became rather passive aggressive . Ultimately, there was a death in the family.
The death was such, that the family kept hidden for some time. But time reveals all and so it did for the 'ideal' family.
As time passed, people all over the town could sense that there was some clink in the shining armour. It was when Seema ran away , that their doubts were confirmed.
After further investigation, it was revealed that there was in fact a death. Who had died? What had happened?
Love had died in the family. It was more like love had committed a suicide and there couldn't be a note for who was responsible because unfortunately, love doesn't have a voice. It could only be felt.
Who was responsible? Well, I'll leave it up to you to decide.
