Tree of hope

She had lost all hope for
Her tree had dried up.
All it's nourishment she had worked towards
Had been for nothing but.

There was no way left to sway,
No way left for it to be green again.
It's branches were now bare
And autumn had set in on it for all days.

Devastated as she was ,
She failed to see
That there was but a fruit
Hanging on the dried up tree.

The fruit was her ray of hope
Her sign towards a green canopy
That for her tree she had long desired
Which she could achieve through hard work and tenacity.

All optimism could not ultimately
Be lost as there was still a way out .
She was only to discover it on her own ,
If she could do away with her doubts.

She had to realise seasons change
That her life was in the autumn phase;
Spring was still to follow
And happy times were to come at a pace.

For now her trees bore leaves dry,
Which had fallen to the ground plain.
But it was in her hands to change them back to green
And make her tree stand tall and proud again.

For its true if one door closes other opens
And god helps those who help self
For if she would only try to  make her way
She could the lost nourishment regain.
